6-star luxury all-inclusive resort hotel. The architecture recreates a Mayan village ambiance with its narrow paths and charmingly private three-story oceanfront bungalows. All rooms are junior suites. There's a great selection of restaurants, a vast lake-like swimming pool, and a great white sand beach overlooking the crystalline sea.

Junior suites have two double beds or one king bed, bathroom with hair dryer, mini-bar, clock radio, ceiling fan, air conditioning, satellite tv with movies, phone, coffee/tea maker, safe, 24 hour room service. Garden or Pool views. Junior Suite superior also has a private whirlpool on the patio, ocean view. Royal club rooms available in either category, also offer concierge service and upgraded amenities such as private check in/out lounge w/fresh towel service, glass of sparkling wine, fresh fruit, assorted pillow menu and more. Cribs and rollaways are available at no cost. No elevators.

6 restaurants. The Caribbean Market Place offers local dishes as well as International delicacies, B,L,D. Tequila Grill serving exquisite Mexican cuisine, B,L,D. Capri, offers a delicious Mediterranean buffet during lunch and dinner. Sunmire, Japanese cuisine offering daily dining in a casual elegant atmosphere. Reservations and dress code. L'Hermitage, offers gourmet a-la-carte restaurant offering the best of French cuisine for dinner. Reservations and dress code. The Reef Grill & Snack Bar, is poolside serving snacks and light meals. Four bars serving premium brand liquors and wines. Gentlemen wear slacks and a nice shirt in the restaurants in the evening.

The hotel feels isolated, but is still fairly close to Cancun. There a free shuttle to Cancun (check with front desk for schedule). Taxis and car rentals also available.
