The "La Jolla" is located 35 minutes from the airport, and 15 mintues south of downtown Puerto Vallarta.

Description |

Luxurious, all-suite resort with Spanish Colonial architecture, located beachfront, on beautiful Banderas Bay. It is surrounded by mountains and and river, and sports a small but nice beach that varies in size depending upon ocean tides.

There are 303 air conditioned rooms.
One bedroom suites have a king bed, separate living room with queen size sofa bed, kitchenette, and bathroom with shower.
Two bedroom suites have either 2 kings or 1 king & 2 twin beds, and 2 bathrooms. There is no kitchenette or separate living room in the 2 bedroom suites.
Both garden and ocean view suites are available.
The hotel is now all-inclusive with all meals, snacks, unlimited domestic drinks, non motorized watersports (surcharge for 24hr room service),
rollaways, cribs, turndown service are all offered.

Dress code at some restaurants. Men wear slacks and a nice shirt.

Two lagoon-style pools, one for adults with a waterfall arch and a rock-garden island sheltering a 10 person spa tub, and the other for families that is bordered by rock waterfalls with a swim up bar. Also a childrens pool with small slide, a sports pool and 12 person family spa tub.

Hotel occupies the site where Night of the Iguana was filmed in 1964 (Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor), which brought the first notoriety to Puerto Vallarta.
The beach at this hotel is sometimes good, sometimes not so good...it depends on the season and the local weather conditions.
