On the Riviera Maya, about 45 minutes South of the Cancun airport, in the gated, beachfront community call Playacar. Just south of, and in walking distance of Playa del Carmen (10 to 15 minutes). The hotel is on a white sand beach, that is unfortunately eroding, but is under restoration (Jan 2008).

Very popular, All-Inclusive resort nestled on 28 acres of lush jungle, with a spectacular beachfront. A gigantic thatched palapa rises over the lobby, with statues of Mayan figures and a pyramid shaped kiosk bar. Thatched roof marble walkways lead to the restaurants on raised platforms looking over ponds filled with tropical fish.

Restaurants featuring Italian, Mexican, Grill/Steakhouse, Beach & Pool Snack Bar, and a Main Restaurant serving buffet style meals that feature show cooking and special theme nights. A coupon system is used for the a-la-carte restaurants, which require reservations. Guests staying 3-4 nights receive 1 coupon, 5-8 nights 2 coupons, 9-11 nights 3 coupons. Each coupon is good for one reservation. Elegant dress code. Gentlemen wear slacks (no jeans). Shorts or sleveless t-shirts not permitted during dinner.

324 bungalow style rooms in 3 story buildings surrounded by 28 acres of lush gardens. Two double beds or one king, marble bathroom with shower only, hair dryer, ceiling fan, safe, mini-bar with soft drinks, air conditioning, phone, satellite tv, iron & ironing board, balcony or terrace. Cribs available. Most have garden or pool views. Room service 11am-11pm.
Junior Suites are essentially the same room, but with ocean front location. You must book a junior suite to guarantee an ocean view.

Good to Know |

|
This is an excellent hotel for families and couples. We have sent hundreds of people here over the years and never get any complaints about the hotel. Many people go back year after year.
Complimentary day passes are available to visit the Iberostar Paraiso del Mar and Iberostar Cozumel (transfers not included)
